My Hair Update
Caring for my hair has really been wonderful. I have learned new ways to help my hair grow. Washing my hair was a task that I hated, combing and detangling was even worse. I have learned that conditioner is a friend to a woman with kinky hair. I now wash my hair every seven days, deep condition, and detangle my hair with my hands. Keeping my hair and scalp clean is causing my hair to grow as well as moisturizing my hair 3 to 4 times a week. I make up my own shea-butter moisturerizer to use on my hair. I've also learned that the winter months can be harsh on my hair, so I protect my hair by wearing my hair in twists or braids.
Caring for kinky hair is not as difficult as it looks, you should really only comb the hair when it is wet. That will stop some of the breakage that you have. Handling your beautiful kinky hair with care when combing or styling. I have learned to be gentle with my hair, and I do look forward to washing and deep conditioning my hair. I have not done a length check, but looking at my hair at the end of each month I can see growth. When I want to stretch my hair, I put my shea-butter moisturerizer on it and braid it. The conditioner that I use to wash my hair is VO5 and my leave in conditioner is Kinky Curly Knot Today. It's the simple things in life that makes me happy, and caring for my kinky hair with simple techniques makes me very, very, HAPPY!
