YAHWEH Gives Us Wisdom With The Many Uses Of Garlic
A common, yet useful herb
Garlic is an herb that most people associate with cooking. However, it has some very important medicinal qualities. It can be used as an antiseptic, stimulant, diuretic, and an expectorant. Garlic has been used as drops in the ear for earache, as a juice concoction for upset stomach, as a stimulant for low blood pressure, and as an enema for intestinal worms to name only a few of it's uses. In the days before vaccination garlic was used for such maladies as cholera, typhoid fever and dysentery.
Before we get into the different ways to prepare garlic, we would like to take a moment to mention prayer. You should always seek the Elders in your congregation for prayer before you attempt to treat your symptoms. For, surely, all you will be doing is treating symptoms. Only YAHWEH holds the keys to healing and we must seek HIM above all things. Now, let's look at a few ways to prepare garlic.
Obtaining the garlic
Only garlic cloves should be used. Never powdered garlic or any other processed garlic product. These are culinary products and have little, if any, medicinal quality. The health food store or farmer's market will always be your next best source for any herb if you cannot grow them yourself. However, we should note, that garlic is very easy to grow yourself.
Preparing the garlic
Juice: Press garlic cloves in a garlic press until you have 1/2 teaspoon. Dilute with a little water and drink two or three times a day. For stomach problems, low blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, and diarrhea.
Cold Extract: Let several cloves of garlic stand in 1/2 cup of water for 8 hours. Treats same illnesses as juice.
Cloves: Grate two cloves of garlic with a tablespoon of honey. Use for colds and coughs.
Garlic can also be used to treat infection in scrapes and cuts. Apply grated clove topically or wash with the juice method above.
We hope this article on garlic has been of some use to you. The only real complaint about garlic is that you have to endure the strong scent to enjoy the benefits! YAHWEH's Word;
YAHWEH it is that causes the bud of the tender herb to spring forth
Shalom!
