I Always Had A Desire To Please YAHWEH
When I was younger, I always had a
desire to please YAHWEH. As years went by,
YAHWEH saved me when I was sixteen
years old. YAHWEH kept me through all these years. I do thank YAHWEH for
strength and for my parents discipline. I always thought they were mean, but as
I got older, married, and had a daughter of my own, I realized that they loved
me through being strict. I thank YAHWEH for it and told my parents that I
appreciated what they had done.
I believe we, my husband, daughter, and myself, moved from Virginia to Lexington, North Carolina in 1997. This was before we heard of Victory Community. I was a very lazy person and always wanted to sleep late in the morning while my husband worked. So, one day my husband brought some flowers for me to plant but I did not have the desire to work with flowers at that time. One day, I did plant them but didn't water them, so my husband did it. A few months later, we heard of Victory Community in South Carolina. We then started commuting for service on Shabbat and that's when I saw the beautiful flowers and painted rocks.
In 1999, we moved closer to the community. We lived off Boyds Evans road where we rented a trailer and the owners allowed us to fix up the place. As months went by, I started planting flowers. That desire came to my heart. Especially when I was working with some experienced Sisters who enjoyed planting. That encouraged my heart to do so.
Now, I enjoy working with flowers and working in the community flower beds.
YAHWEH BLESS You!
Sister Wendy
