DO YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT A QODESH WOMAN OF YAHWEH IS?

 Sister Wendy

Greetings in the NAME of YAHSHUA MESSIYAH! Praise YAHWEH! My name is Sis. Wendy Brassfield and I’m 34 yrs.old. Do you really know what a qodesh woman of YAHWEH is? Qodesh means to be reserved for a particular use, set-apart, being different, peculiar, strange, odd, righteous, and good.

Teitus (Titus 2:3-5) says,”3. The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becomes righteousness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

4. That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

5. To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient, to their own husbands, that the Word of YAHWEH be not blasphemed.”

Kepha (1Peter 3:1-6) says,” 1. Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the Word, they also may without the Word be won by the conduct of the wives;

2. While they behold your chaste conduct coupled with fear.

3. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

4. But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of YAHWEH of great price.

5. For after this manner in the old time the qodesh(set-apart) women also, who trusted in YAHWEH, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

6. Even as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him master: whose daughters you are, as long as you do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

“DO YOU KNOW WHAT ADORNED MEANS?”

Adorned in The New Strong’s Concordance No. 2885 in the Greek section of the dictionary means to put in proper order, decorate (lit. or fig.); spec. to snuff (a wick) adorn, garnish, trim. No. 2889 probably from the base of 2865; orderly arrangements, decoration, by impl. the world (in a wide or narrow sense, incl. its inhab., lit. or fig. mor.): adorning; world.

We as believers adorn ourselves according to the Word to have the inner beauty of YAHWEH and not as the world adorn themselves on the outward appearance. There is a big difference.

In the Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary Eleventh Edition the word adorn or adorned means 1. to enhance the appearance of esp. with beautiful objects;

2. to enliven or decorate as if with ornaments;

3. implies an enhancing by something beautiful in itself.

Here is a few scriptures to encourage your heart on adorning Mishle (Proverbs 4:9) says, “She shall give to your head an ornament of love: a crown of honour shall she deliver to you.”

Mishle (Proverbs 1:7-9) 7. The fear of YAHWEH is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

8. My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

9. For they shall be an ornament of love unto your head, and chains about your neck.

Yeshayahu (Isaiah 61:10-11) 10. I will greatly rejoice in YAHWEH, my soul shall be joyful in my Abba YAHWEH; for HE has clothed me with the garments of salvation, HE hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

11. For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Soverign YAHWEH will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

When I was growing up, we did not have much. As I reminisce I can remember when I was 7 or 8 years old. I prayed and said,”YAHWEH if you ever blessed me to be married I wanted a husband who would take care of me and our children. I wanted a nice house with a white pickett fence, a car, and he didn’t fuss. I just wanted someone to truly love me for me. My parents provided the necessities that we needed like food, clothing, shelter, and transportation, but I was lacking the affection of love. I thank YAHWEH for their strictness. They tried their best to raise us up in the right way, but I do thank YAHWEH for choosing me out of all my natural kinfolks.

I remember how my dad would fuss all the time and my mom would be disobedient to him. The church I came out of was an apostolic church, which believed if your husband wasn’t saved the saved wife would be in charge of the household. As I grew up and read the scriptures I knew this was very wrong. I had prayed YAHWEH if you would ever give me a husband I wouldn’t do those things. I wanted to be different, and be a good wife. I just hated to hear fussing all the time. It just did something to me. As I look over my life I can see where YAHWEH was working on my heart as a little girl. I really didn’t have many girl friends, but guy friends.

I tried my best to be an obedient daughter to my parents, so I wouldn’t bring shame upon them, especially knowing they tried raising us up in the right way they knew how.

YAHWEH was working on my heart as a little girl about the Sabbath. I never forgotten the incident that happened in my early life when I was a freshmen in high school. I wasn’t saved at that time, but I have never forgotten this girl named Tieka. She was in my gym class. She was saved and YAHWEH used her to speak to me about the Word. It was after hearing her speak; I was so excited to know about God (at that time). Late when YAHWEH saved me I felt the joy, peace(shalom), and cleanliness in me. It was a sobering experience. I was very mature for my age as a child because I always enjoyed being around older people. Tieka was my best friend in the 9th grade. I had told her I was saved too, and that is when and then I noticed a change in her. She wanted to be like all the other girls. Wanting to have a boyfriend, dating, and going to parties. Gradually, she had backslid. She was loose, started wearing pants, earrings, and dating. I felt like I was the only one saved in school. YAHWEH kepted me through the temptations of the pressures of going to parties, drugs, guys, and sex outside marriage. It was YAHWEH who truly kepted me from all these things. HE wants us to trust and totally depend on HIM for everything. As I look back over my life I thank YAHWEH for all things. Some of the people I attended school with are on drugs, married and divorced with the scars of sin on them. They look very old because of having all these children out of wedlock. They had no morals, but YAHWEH chose me and kepted me through those difficult times. The scripture that comes to my mind is Qorintyah Bet (2 Corinthians 6:14-18) reads like this: 14. Be you not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion has light with darkness?

15. And what concord has the MESSIYAH with Belial? or what part has he that believeth with an infidel?

16. And what agreement has the tabernacle of YAHWEH with idols? For you are the Tabernacle of the living YAHWEH; as YAHWEH has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their ABBA, and they shall be MY people.

17. Wherefore come out from among them, and be you separate, saith YAHWEH, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

18. And will be an ABBA unto you, and you shall by MY sons and daughters, saith YAHWEH Almighty.

After a few years went by I met my husband Charles at a Youth Convention. I was very nervous. My cousin introduced us to one another. Earlier that Sabbath afternoon I prayed to YAHWEH and said,”if He would have me to be married so be it or if YOU should have me to be single for the rest of my life your will be done. Then that Saturday night, I was sitting on the pew bench in their tabernacle it was like a voice saying within me,”I want you to meet this man, this man is going to be your husband!” I told my cousin about it and he asked me if I wanted to meet him and I said,”Yes!” It reminded me of the time in scripture were Rebekah was leaving with Abraham’s servant to marry Issac. The scriptures are from Bereshith Genesis 24:57-67 as follows: 57. And they said,We will call the damsel, and inquire at her mouth.

58. And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Will you go with this man? And she said, I will go.

59. And they sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham’s servant, and his men.

60. And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, you art are sister, be you the mother of thousands of millions, and let your seed possess the gate of those which hate them.

61. And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man: and the servant took Rebekah, and went his way.

62.And Isaac came from the way of the well Lahairoi; for he dwelt in the south country.

63. And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold the camels were coming.

64. And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel.

65. For she had said unto the servants, What man is this that walks in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.

66. And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done.

67. And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.

Mishle (Proverbs 18:22) says,” Whoso finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour of YAHWEH.”

Mishle (Proverbs 31:10-31) 10. Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

11. The heart of her husband does safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

12. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

13. She seeks wool, and flax, and works willingly with her hands.

14. She is like the merchants’ ships; she brings her food from afar.

15. She rises also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.

16. She considers a field, and buys it: with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.

17. She girds her loins with strength, and strengthens her arms.

18. She perceives that her merchandise is good: her candle goes not out by night.

19. She lays her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.

20. She stretches out her hand to the poor; yea, she reaches forth her hands to the needy.

21. She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.

22. She makes herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.

23. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land.

24. She makes fine linen, and sells it; and delivers girdles unto the merchant.

25. Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

26. She opens her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

27. She looks well to the ways of her household, and eats not the bread of idleness.

28. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.

29. Many daughters have done virtuously, but you excel them all.

30. Favour is deceitfut, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth YAHWEH, she shall be praised.

31.Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

As I close my testimony I pray you will be blessed. I’m learning each and everyday how to be a Qodesh woman of YAHWEH. My desire is to be virtuous, meek, and quiet in spirit woman. I want to guard my mouth, seek YAHWEH, and above all things, not to be a busybody in other men’s affairs, nor a gossiper, or one who renders evil for evil, nor to be a tailbearer or false accuser, but being obedient.

It requires a disciplined life to be a mother, wife, sister, and a daughter of Zion with much effort. I enjoy being married because YAHWEH has brought my husband and I a long way. I truly thank YAHWEH for every trial that my husband and I have been through. YAHWEH will give us strength to endure every obstacle. We’ve been married now for 11years and it’s all because of YAHWEH. I’m truly blessed by YAHWEH.

Any mother who has a child or children its always good to find time, especially if you have a daughter or daughters to have a mother/daughter talk. Having that openness to teach them about their bodies, hygiene, keeping their hair clean, and to be able to talk about anything that bothers them. When Victoria our daughter asks me questions I try to answer them so she can understand at her age of 9 years old and also going to the scriptures. Because Shatan(Satan) has those snares for our young daughters and sons out there.

I do thank YAHWEH for what HE has done in our lives and knowing HIS precious NAME YAHWEH and HIS Son’s NAME YAHSHUA the MESSIYAH!

I thank YAHWEH for Pastor Roberts where he has preached YAHWEH’s truth. I never heard a man who preached like this before in my life. YAHWEH knows all things. The scripture on my mind is Kepha 1Peter 4:11 which says, “If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of YAHWEH; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which YAHWEH gives: that YAHWEH in all things may be magnified through YAHSHUA the MESSIYAH, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. HalleluYAHWEH!
